Essentra Components is a leading global manufacturer and distributor of a comprehensive range of components. We are currently hiring an Accountant reporting to the APAC Head of FPA and Financial Controls focusing on full spectrum of Finance and Accounting functions.Accounting and FinancePerform full spectrum of accounting scope for Malaysia BU. Monthly posting & printing the report of accounts payable and general ledger and closing of AP, AR, cash book & Inventory module.Monthly posting of bank and cash transactions to computerized accounting software. Preparation of monthly debit and credit note.Assist in monthly bank reconciliation, cash flow and petty cash transaction. Prepare payment and or upload payment files to e banking platform for authorised signatories to sign or approve.Monthly journal preparation and performs inter-companies reconciliation and resolves and discrepancies noted with related companies.Monthly preparation of balance sheet schedules in a control file.Prepare the statutory financial statements of the legal entity and 3 other dormant Malaysian companies. Co-ordinate with Company Secretarial functions to ensure that relevant annual filings for all 4 Malaysian entities are complete.Co-ordinate with the tax advisors to file the annual tax returns for all 4 Malaysian entities are complete.Prepare and submit all reporting required from the UK Head Office in a timely and accurate manner.Assist in annual budget and quarterly forecast and variance analysis of actuals vs budget and or forecasts.Assist in co-ordinates the preparation of external audit materials, prepare schedules for annual audit for all 4 Malaysian entities.Any other duties as assigned by line manager.Job Requirements:Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent with min 5 years of related working experience. Previous experience with MNC would be added advantage.Experience in preparation of consolidated financial statements. Prior experience in clearing backlog of financial statements would be a plus.A team player yet dynamic, ability to work independently, strong organizational and analytical skills.Good communication skills (both verbal and written), able to converse well in English.Excellent interpersonal skills with good stakeholder management capability.Good problem-solving skills, ability to multi-tasks with good project management skills.
