Add expected salary to your profile for insightsTraining Program Development & ImplementationDesign, develop, and execute internal training programs tailored to the retail industry.Work closely with the HR Training & Development Executive to align training strategies.Develop training materials, including manuals, multimedia visual aids, training booklets, assessments, and e-learning content.Conduct training needs analyses and competency gap assessments.Assessment & Training EvaluationDesign and conduct department-wide training assessments to evaluate employee skills, knowledge, and competency levels.Implement structured assessment programs for different departments (fresh, grocery, operations, cashiering).Develop standardized evaluation forms, practical tests, and performance tracking methods.Analyze training assessment results to identify knowledge gaps and areas for improvement.Provide feedback and coaching to employees based on assessment performance.Work closely with department heads and buyers to align assessments with job expectations and career path progression.Track assessment data and use results to refine training modules.Ensure fair evaluation processes to support internal promotions and skill development.Training Facilitation & CoachingConduct in-house training for managers, supervisors, and retail teams, including Shift Management, Technical & Soft Skills, Cashier, and Compliance Training.Facilitate Train-the-Trainer (TTT) sessions and coaching for internal trainers.Mentor and evaluate underperforming employees to ensure skill development and performance improvement.Implement career advancement programs for Crew Leaders and PICs (Persons in Charge).Conduct food safety and compliance training (added advantage if SLPM-certified).Develop and implement Operations Improvement Plans (OIP) to enhance retail efficiency and service quality.Training & Development for Foreign WorkersConduct basic training programs to help foreign workers understand company SOPs, job responsibilities, and safety protocols.Implement language support or visual-based training to accommodate language barriers.Educate foreign workers on workplace policies, hygiene standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.HRDF & External Training ManagementManage HRDF claims and ensure compliance with HRD Corp requirements.Handle external training arrangements and coordinate with training providers.Identify, source, and execute external learning and development programs aligned with business needs.Maintain training records, learning reports, and employee training assessments.Ensure all training programs comply with industry regulations and company policies.Manage and update content on the e-learning platform (email/mobile learning app).Maintain structured filing systems for training materials and employee learning records.Travel & Branch SupportConduct on-site training and assessments at NSK Grocer branches and other subsidiaries.Provide coaching and performance support to employees.Collaborate with branch managers and operations teams to ensure effective training delivery.Requirements:Diploma/Degree in Training & Development, Business, HR, or a related field.10+ years of experience in Training & Development, preferably in retail or F&B.Train-the-Trainer (TTT) certification is required.HR knowledge and experience in handling and implementing training programs.Strong expertise in HRDF claims, external training arrangements, and competency development.Knowledge of learning methodologies, e-learning tools, and competency assessments.Added advantage if certified as a Food Handler Trainer (SLPM) or an Internal Food Safety Auditor (HACCP).Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.Ability to adapt quickly to retail industry challenges and operations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LMS, and e-learning tools is an added advantage.Must have own transportation and be willing to travel frequently to branches.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Malaysia?What's your expected monthly basic salary?Which of the following types of qualifications do you have?How many years' experience do you have as a Training and Development Officer?How many years' experience do you have in a training & development role?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?Do you possess or have access to your own transportation?Are you willing to travel for this role when required?
